I structure my classes as follows:
Warm Up - an essential part of any exercise or dance class the warm up helps prepare the body for exercise so that we avoid injury & muscle stiffness
Bellydance Technique - we learn, practise and develop different belly dance moves each week. I will demonstrate and then break down each movement so that you will have a full understanding of how to make the same movement yourself. Over suceeding weeks we will continue to practise and develop those moves until we can do them without thinking about it!
Choreography - Learning a choreographed dance helps us learn how to put together the techniques we are learning, so that eventually we will have the confidence to improvise to any music we want to dance to! We learn a small part of the choreography each week and by the end of term you'll have the satisfaction of having learnt a whole dance.
Cool Down - Each class concludes with some gentle stretching to improve flexibility and reduce any muscle stiffness after class.
